Developing the flavour of Morphett Vale’s Junk Food Corner

In South Australia

From Adelaide Now

WORK has started on a two-storey retail and office building at the junction of Main South and Sherriffs roads in Morphett Vale commonly referred to as “junk food corner”.

The development, being built on the southeast corner of the intersection, will include a shop, offices and carparking.

The site has been vacant since the Pizza Hut and La Porchetta restaurants were demolished in 2008.

The restaurants were left vacant and unused for four years before their demolition.

The developer has lodged plans with Onkaparinga Council to change the use of the ground floor to a shop exceeding 200sq m.

The plans were released for public consultation earlier this month.
