Senator Nick Xenophon is one of the best known voices in Australian politics.

Running as an independent at each election, Xenophon stands up for every issue he believes in and answers to the entire state of South Australia as his electorate.

In 2013, Xenophon received more votes than any MP in Australian parliamentary history. At a time of widespread political disillusionment across the Australian populace, Nick offers ‘a viable alternative’ to the Labor and Liberal parties.

In this podcast, Nick Xenophon addresses the issue of penalty rates, underemployment in regional areas, and the need for tourism operators to make their voices heard on bigger stages.

The Tourism News spoke to Nick Xenophon in October 2013.
